According to former South African President Nelson Mandela, “All Bush wants is Iraqi oil, because Iraq produces 64 percent of oil and he wants to get hold of it.” You couldn’t have said it better, my friend. Here’s another great quote from Mandela on the United States:
-
One power with a president who can’t think properly … wants to plant the world into holocaust.

All Bush Wants is Iraqi Oil, Says Mandela
Will Bush and his stupid white cronies ever wake up and listen to the American people and to other world leaders?
Another interesting point from this article is this: “Mandela also questioned whether the US was ignoring the UN because its secretary-general is black.” Of course no one would ever admit that, but the black man has been repressed for so long, why would Bush stop now?

right, thats why two of the most important if not the two most important members of his cabinet are black.
Gabe, you have a lot of valid points when you critize the current administration yet when you result to insults and personal attacks is pretty hard to agree on anything.

Insults and personal attacks? How so? Black people have been discriminated against in this country since its founding. The U.S. was built on the back of slave labor. Blacks are discriminated against every day. You don’t think it’s possible that Bush is disregarding the UN because its secretary-general is black?
Re: my reference to “Bush and his stupid white cronies,” would you disagree? Sure, it’s an insult, but it’s more of a title: Stupid White Men. (Perhaps my allusion to Michael Moore’s Stupid White Men was not clear?) In that title resides many connotations: Screwing the poor to serve only the rich; lying to the voting public; destroying the environment; lacking ethics.
Take the recent tax cut proposal, which benefits only those people who make more than 300 grand per year. That’s pretty stupid if you ask me. And certainly not looking at the needs of ALL people. I don’t have the numbers handy, but I’m willing to bet the majority of those people are white – and men. This is a policy proposed by stupid white men for stupid white men. Do you disagree?
To your point about the black members of Bush’s cabinet, Moore has a great line in his book in which he calls Condoleeza Rice an “Honorary Stupid White Man.” Why? She has an oil tanker named after her. Her ties to the oil industry and corporate corruption are as thick as Bush’s and Cheney’s.
And as for Powell, I’d say he’s definitely an Honorary Stupid White Man, too. His dark past includes deceiving Congress, not speaking up about the Watergate scandal, trying to prevent gay folks from serving in the military, among many other very bad things:
The Case Against Colin Powell
Do you still disagree with my comments?

Bush SUX! Yeah personal attack, who cares. The man sux, along with the entire administration, although I do think Powell is generally okay. Everyone else there is a lying, deceiving pig born of the devil and should be sent back to him in their oil tankers and SUVs with signs pasted to their backs that say “Kick Me”.

RE: You don’t think it’s possible that Bush is disregarding the UN because its secretary-general is black??
Well, the U.N has not been disregarded yet, last time I checked the war had not started. Will they be disregarded? Well I think that is pretty much up to them, whether they enforce their own resolutions or not.
You are may be right about Condoleeza and Powell, they may be the devil in person but still shows the lack of weight in your argument of dismissal of the U.N for racial reasons.
RE:(Perhaps my allusion to Michael Moore’s Stupid White Men was not clear?) In that title resides many connotations: Screwing the poor to serve only the rich; lying to the voting public; destroying the environment; lacking ethics.
Exactly my point, hard to argue when you have one side calling the other stupid to begin with. Also the notion that screwing the poor, lack of ethics and lying to the voting public and destroying the environment is exclusive to the white man is bogus, look at almost every Latin American, African or Asian country and you have the same sleaziness increased by a magnitude of ten.
Please tell me that those people screw their countries because too of the evil influence of America.
RE:Take the recent tax cut proposal,
Definitely misinformed, a typical family of four with an income of up to 40k will be relieved of all federal income taxation, fail to see how that benefits only the rich.
If you are referring to the proposed tax cut in dividends, you are missing the bigger point. Regardless of who benefits the most initially, in the long run rewarding companies that deliver dividends will create a stock market culture where equity is preferred over debt unlike the status quo. At the end a more solid stock market culture will benefit us all regardless of socioeconomic status.
Also a point from the article How to Ruin American Enterprise:
10) Enact a tax system that encourages class antagonism and punishes saving, while rewarding indebtedness, frivolity and consumption. Tax the fruits of labor many times:
First tax it as income. Then tax it as real or personal property. Then tax it as capital gains. Then tax it again, at a staggeringly high level, at death. This way, Americans are taught that only fools save, and that it is entirely proper for us to have the lowest savings rate in the developed world. This will deprive us of much-needed capital for new investment, for innovation and our own personal aspirations. It will compel us to ask foreigners for ever more capital and allow them to own more of America. It will also promote an attitude of carelessness about the future and, once again, encourage disrespect for law.
RE: Bush SUX!
priceless, now let me get a hit of that bong buddy.

Lying to the public and lacking ethics are qualities that _all_ politicians carry with them (assuming that you qualify unfulfilled campaign promises as lies).
To Luis: at least Gabe wasn’t trying to write a persuasive essay. 🙂 Still, the way Gabe writes it can certainly get someone caught up and follow his lead.

Wow, Gabe really struck a nerve. But I can’t let “look at almost every Latin American, African or Asian country and you have the same sleaziness increased by a magnitude of ten” go. What the fuck?
How do you think these countries got that way? Centuries of colonial rule, that is how!
In fact, the corrupt elites in Mexico and Latin America are referred to as “white” by the poor people, who are overwhelmingly indigenious. Why? Because they are the Spanish.
Finally, I am with Ben. It is time to take the damn gloves off. The stakes with Bush are too high for the opposition to play nice. Remember what Starr did to Clinton? How long do you think Bush could stand up to that kind of investigation?

I have read all the above comments and it is very sad to think that the pendlum has swung the other way and that we as human beings have not learned a thing.
Why is it that we must still compare the pain and suffering of human beings based on the colour of skin.
My intent is not to lessen the wrongs that have been committed against people of a different race or colour, but to try and make you see that all people suffer in some way and there are many hate crimes committed everyday to many races.
African tribes fought amongst themselves, so did Asian, South American, Middle Eastern and Native Americans. They fought, killed and enslaved each other. This is not just a sad history of white people. This is the history of human beings. We are tribal and will seek out that is most like us and shun that is not.
I appreciate the intelligent thoughts that were shared, but feel dispair to read that it always comes back to the same thing… who has suffered more and who must pay. How much blood needs to spill, how much money needs to be dished out and how many wars need to be fought to repair a crime that the HUMAN RACE committs against each other?
Who do you hold accoutable for the suffering of the world?
