“Fuck Saddam. We’re taking him out.”
– President George W. Bush, March 2002
Ahh, isn’t it comforting to know that the commander in chief of the most powerful military in the world thinks in such complex shades of grey?

Bush was right.
The ‘Not in my Namers ‘would have gladly seen women beheaded, men executed and tortured, children tortured in front of their parents to extract compliance from the latter – in other words ,everyday life in Iraq under saddam..rather than see their hated Americans invading to end the suffering. These loathsome people wailed on about civilian casualties – what the hell did they think umpteen thousands of tortured Iraqis were..?.They wailed on about ‘Greed for Iraqi oil ‘The Iraqis would have gladly given up all their oil..if it only meant being released from their nightmare.
These are the ones who are skilled in ‘ grey ‘thinking ,wherein lies tons of bullshit to hide the hate beneath. These people are akin to Saddam – they show the same callous disregard for the essentials of a situation, i.e the well-being ,present and future,of the Iraqis.
I heard an Iraqi gentleman, before the invasion, who summed it up with again – no grey areas. he said ‘ If it means 5,000 civilians have to die in any invasion, this is a small price to pay when compared to the hundreds of thousands who have already perished under Saddam , and the thousands who will continue to die if he is not removed ‘
That is the sense,no-bullshit truth and logic of the Iraq invasion. There are ,and were,no grey areas.Only in the minds of those who would have impeded the invasion, and their thinking is nothing less than perverse.
