It was surreal last night watching live on CNN as U.S. tanks crusied past dead Iraqis as they battled for control of what was then Saddam International Airport and has since been renamed Baghdad International Airport since it is the “gateway to the future of Iraq,” according to Brigadier General Vincent Brooks. More specifically, the U.S. can now use the airport to fly troops and equipment in and out of its conquered country. This war exhausts me and depresses me, so that’s all I have to say for now.
