It’s been a couple months since our last media appearance. When you’re as in demand as we A_ndersons are, it’s necessary to keep the paparazzi begging for more from time to time. So yesterday we gave ’em what they wanted and had Jen make an appearance on local ABC affiliate WTEN Channel 10; she was interviewed about her thoughts on the 20th anniversary of the Challenger disaster, and her feelings on the space program:

The sun will burn out in however many thousands or millions of years. Somebody has to pay for the space program for the human species to survive. Better now than never right? Of course space program doesn’t necessarily mean more rockets and shuttle right now, it could mean more education, computers and geeks.

dear A.C., what good is it to focus on a threat that might be a million years away, while we ignore actual threats in the short term? we should be so lucky to worry about surviving a million years to see the sun fizzle out!

Dear Jen, you are too human. Wolves and bears do not care for the sick and weak. They focus on survival of species. The sole purpose of a penguin’s life is to make some little penguins. Now you say there are many other immediate threats to our lives than losing the sun. True. Also starving rocket scientists might make better-behaving homeless than starving drug addicts assuming they are mutually exclusive. But remember, people believe the US government is focusing too much on space program because YOU said it on TV. You say, well it’s your choice to watch me on TV. But I am such a fan of gabeanderson.com… Maybe we should all study the budget rather than watch TV?

hmm… i don’t personally know of any rocket scientists who are starving in the streets.
and i also hope that people recognize i gave only my ‘woman on the street’ opinion on tv…i’d hate to think anyone is out there solidifying beliefs about the government totally based on my random 10 seconds on the tube. you can see a lot of crazy stuff on tv, like people eating bugs. and bill o’reilly.
i’m glad you are a blog fan, and i hope one day you will reveal your anonymous self.
