I love Saratoga Springs. It’s not in every town where you can go from basking in the beautiful sunshine watching Shakespeare in the park (Much Ado About Nothing) like it’s 1599 to enjoying some drinks downtown before finding yourself on a giant tour bus driving from one bar to another around the corner, vis-a-vis a party tour of Broadway. Saturday night with Alex, Anne, Tom, and Justin, Jen and I did just that.
First, some Shakespeare. We lived it up pre-play like actual Brits, eating some scrumptious salmon and cucumber finger sandwiches that we washed down with some Pimm’s (imported by us following our 2005 trip to London).
Strangely, even though Cati was in Spain on Saturday, she was kind enough to use her newfound intercontinental transportation superpower to show up in our kitchen for a photo:

Then, our magical mystery tour (here’s the route we took) — the bus’s ID number? 420, of course:

Here’s the hilarious video that Justin captured (and a photo of Justin filming):
You can also see the video from Tom’s perspective:
Afterward, there was much discussion about the trip and the route we took, not to mention the finer intricacies of Much Ado About Nothing.
We even met a guy named Trodder Furlong.
(Thanks to all the contributors to this blog entry — Jen, Alex, Justin, and Tom all played key roles in providing the content! This one really was a team effort, and I couldn’t have done it without all you guys.)

You guys are too funny!
Wish I had been there. It seems you had tons of fun (like usual)!
BTW, why did you take the bus tour? I don’t get it.
Hugs and kisses-

Is it tour bus instead of bus tour?
My English no good anymore.

Great photoshopping work with “catiwuzhere.jpg!” The color, lighting, sizing and spacing are spot on, however… Cati’s mood seems way more intense than the others in the scene. I’m scared.

it’s cati’s intercontinental transportation superpower that makes her look so intense – it is hard work teleporting all the way from spain! hah!
ah… if only i could make a living photoshopping silly photos of my friends… nevermind this librarian phase, i think that could be my true calling.

Cati- That’s why it’s the magical mystery bus tour. No one knows why we took it or where it came from. That’s the beauty of it! 🙂
