I’ve quoted Ultramarathon Man Dean Karnazes on my blog in the past, and on Saturday before the SF Marathon, I met him. He’s as much an inspiration in person as in his books, and a genuinely nice guy. I told him my bro was a fan, too, but that he didn’t make it that day. He said to tell Pete hello. Quick on the draw, Jen busted out the camera and said, “Why don’t you tell Pete hello?!”

So he did:

Dean even referred to my bro as Pete Dog, and invited him to run with him next time.
