I obviously enjoy blogging. I try to write something nearly every day and have been doing so for years. Some days are easier than others. Some days it’s obvious what I will write about — an anniversary, a wedding we attended, a trip we took, a major world event — but others I find myself struggling to come up with topics. I like to write about the mundane and recap what I do, but I know that’s not always the most interesting thing. So I try to find other things that strike my fancy. Sometimes I’m inspired, other times I am not.
Lately, I haven’t been too inspired. Call it writer’s block or blogger’s block or just burnt out by all the other work and play in my life, so today, this is all I’ve got. Oh, and this: We went out last night to DA’s and T&L with Justin and Ken. Saratoga in the summer is a party on Caroline Street every night, and last night was no exception.
I suppose it’s OK to miss a day of blogging here and there. But I guess, technically, now I haven’t.

I have several suggestions:
1) Come up with a few random comments, as they occur, and just post them when you can’t think of anything else,
2) Invite guest bloggers to come on for periods of time, treating your blog almost like a magazine,
3) Come up with “threads” that will cover you for a week at a time, whereby you spend the week digging deeper or wider into the topic,
4) Have kids. You’ll never worry about coming up with new material, though be carefuly, else you’ll come off as some sappy dad.
Or.. dude, like, write about yer mom! Huh, huh, huh.. I said “mom”…. huh, huh, huh, huh.

When you can’t think of anything to say give me doggie porn! Post a pic of the Stella… or Dingo, if you must!

hehehe… suddenly realizing that life is boringly repetitive, Gabe starts to feel old. It’s time to learn new tricks (e.g. read many books, play new sports), or create new life (babies, new pets) and hope that it will keep gabe entertained for 18 years.

for the record, i find life incredibly exciting and fun. it’s anything but boring. not overflowing with ideas for my blog is not necessarily indicative of not having anything else going on. in fact, it’s quite the contrary. but thanks for the suggestions!

Gabe: Even when you’re “off” you’re on!

Maybe Gabe is involved in some _unspeakably_ exciting events, or else he would blog them.

What do I think? I think anonymous is suffering from blog envy.
