Toronto Star: “At home Bush took a major hit to his credibility when the White House admitted that his claim that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium in Niger to restart its nuclear program was false and based on forged documents. He made the charge in January in his State of the Union address, even though intelligence officials both within the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department had questioned its veracity.”
Is anyone really surprised?

My previous post was the 666th entry in my blog. Proof, Dave claims, that I am evil.
Hell, I’ll admit it. 666 has been a favorite number of mine for quite some time. This is indisputable proof of my evil ways. Thanks to Dave for revealing and documenting my evil tendencies.

I just sent a single email to nearly 100 people (I guess I know a lot of people, huh? and I didn’t even send it to everyone in my email addressbook) to let them know my new cell phone number. That makes me think about how cool email is. In a matter of minutes, I reached out with information to a ton of individuals. Imagine how long it would’ve taken if I had had to call each person individually. Look up numbers, leave messages, etc. Of course, I don’t talk to all 100 of these people regularly, and not everyone calls me, but what the heck? It’s also a good excuse to drop a line to people with whom I haven’t corresponded in a while.

MSNBC: “An employee dressed in camouflage and brandishing at least two weapons opened fire at a Lockheed Martin plant Tuesday, killing six people, including himself, and wounding at least eight others, authorities said.”
Why don’t sick bastards with death wishes go into a private room and get it over with on their own? Why do they always feel the need to take innocent people down with them? To hell with this guy.

I’m continuing to love playing with my phone. This mophoto (mobile photo) is the first in this new category, as well as the first successful upload directly from my phone to Ofoto. Rock on.

I’ve spent today getting accustomed with my new Nokia 3650 camera phone. It rocks! I’ve been taking pictures, emailing them to friends and family, and doing cool things like emailing photos directly from the phone to TypePad. I’m recording that post here just in case my TypePad beta test blog goes away at some point.
Direct from phone
Awesome.

(I’m editing this post in my browser — and am resizing the photo — but I emailed this photo directly from my new Nokia 3650 camera phone right to the blog!)
I’m still figuring out the details…was psyched to read that the phone is capable of up to a 43.2 Kbps connection via High Speed Circuit Swiitched Data (HSCSD). The standard GSM data connection speed is 14.4 Kbps. I haven’t yet set up either of those access points on the phone, which I think explains why I’m not yet able to access any actual (non-mMode) Web sites. I have configured my mMode email, so I’m sending images via email left and right.
This is fun.

In my continuing test of the cool TypePad features, I’m typing this post in an email and am sending it directly to my TypePad blog. I love this concept – described as “Moblogging” (along with posting via cell phone). And later today, when I pick up my new cell phone, I’ll be able to test posting from there, too.
Rock on.

Today at lunchtime I’m planning to get my new Nokia 3650 as part of the focus group in which I’ll be participating for the next six months (they’re still looking for people who live outside the Bay Area, so let me know if you’re interested…free phone — to keep — and free service for six months, plus more money for attending each of the four in-person focus groups). I’m psyched about having a camera cell phone. All these new toys lately — first the camcorder, and now a camera cell phone.
The one thing I’m undecided about, though, is what color phone I’ll get. I like the Fuchsia, but that’s just a fancy way of saying “pink,” and I don’t think I’d ever hear the end of it from my boys if I had a pink cell phone. So I may have to go with the blue Art Cover option. Yeah, I like that one.
What do you think?

Woohoo! I’ve been selected as a TypePad beta tester for second round. Head on over to my just-created TypePad blog at http://gabe.typepad.com/. Cool, eh? I can’t disclose details of the testing or screenshots or anything like that, but I can reveal that I am a tester, and am looking forward to poking around more when I’m not so tired and haven’t just returned from a day-long trip across the country.
What am I still doing awake? Good night.

Woohoo! This is my first post as a tester in round two of the TypePad beta. So far, so good.
Back from New York…tired. I’m just a testing machine this week…Monday I pick up my new Nokia 3650 camera cell phone as part of a focus group in which I’ll be participating for the next 6 months (free phone & service!).
All that and a wedding in less than 3 weeks, too.
